We support adults (18+ years old) with a wide range of functional needs, including:
OT at your home, in the community or online.
Assistive Technology refers to equipment that helps people complete everyday tasks more easily and safely. Support includes assessing equipment needs, helping trial different items, recommending suitable options, and completing reports and funding applications. This may include items such as shower chairs, toilet frames, kitchen equipment, pressure care cushions, electric beds to support safety and independence at home and in the community.
Wheelchair and scooter assessments are provided to help people find suitable mobility equipment that meets their needs. This includes assessing how you sit in the wheelchair/scooter and comfort, trialling different options, and providing training to support safe and confident use.
Functional Capacity Assessments look at how a person manages everyday activities and the impact of disability on daily life. These assessments and reports support NDIS access requests, plan reviews, funding decisions, and goal setting.
Cognitive rehabilitation supports thinking skills used in everyday life, such as planning, organising, memory, concentration, managing fatigue, motivation, and self-management. Strategies may include using planners or phone reminders, breaking tasks into steps, creating daily routines, learning strategies to manage tiredness, and practising ways to stay focused and organised during everyday activities.
Having extensive experience in neuro rehabilitation, Sarah has clinical expertise in neurological upper limb therapy. Upper limb therapy supports people who experience difficulty using their arm or hand, often due to a neurological condition. Therapy may include exercises and activities to improve arm and hand movement, practising reaching and grasping objects, improving hand strength and coordination, and supporting arm use during daily tasks such as eating, dressing, or using a phone.
Daily Living Skills training supports people to become more independent in everyday tasks. Support is tailored to individual goals and abilities. This may include support with tasks such as showering and dressing, preparing simple meals, managing household tasks, developing daily routines, or building confidence to access the community.
Minor home modification assessments are completed to recommend small changes that improve safety and access within the home. These recommendations may include grab rails or small ramps to reduce risk and support independence.
Comprehensive reports to support application to Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Independent Living Options (ILO) through the NDIS.
